Perseverance’s exploration strategy is to increase the company’s resource base by finding extensions and additions to existing mines (near mine exploration) and finding and developing new mines (regional exploration).
The company’s exploration tenements cover 7,000 km˛ in the highly prospective central Victorian goldfields. This world class gold province has produced over 70M ounces of gold.
Exploration projects include the Fosterville Trend, the Stawell Corridor, Bendigo North, Ballarat West Project and the Stavely Project.
Prospects are divided into four distinct gold mineralisation styles;
- Sediment hosted disseminated mineralisation (Fosterville Trend)
- Sulphide lode style gold mineralisation (Stawell Corridor, Ballarat West)
- Slate Belt Quartz Reef Deposits (Bendigo North including the Tandarra Prospects, Ballarat West)
- Intrusive related hydrothermal systems (Stavely area)
The company’s quarterly reports contain more detailed information about exploration activities.
